


Make It Plant Based! Indian book talk with Srishti Jain
Join us at the Grocer for a cookbook talk on Tuesday May 13th, at 7PM. Author Srishti Jain will be joined by Edy in conversation about her new cookbook, Make it Plant-Based! Indian, which draws from the produce-heavy diet of Indian cuisine to deliver over 50 recipes for vegan curries, chaat, breakfasts, breads, and sweets. Alongside these delicious vegan dishes is a mini crash course on the culture and history of Indian cuisine with sidebars like “How to Host a Chai Party.”
The talk will be followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing by the author. Pre-ordered books will be available for pick-up at the event. A limited number of books will be available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own copy of the book if you would like to get it signed!
About the author: Srishti Jain is a Californian-Indian food writer, recipe-developer, and vegetarian chef. Growing up in the Bay Area, she began fusing western produce and eastern cuisine from a young age. Throughout her career, her focus has been on expanding her creativity with vegetables and pastry skills. She is known for her supper clubs and pop-ups in San Francisco, New York, London, and beyond as well as her work as a chef at various Brooklyn restaurants.
